SCHOLARSHIPS THROUGH SHRM Space Coast

The SHRM Space Coast chapter sponsors a scholarship to assist Brevard County students who are studying the field of Human Resources at all accredited colleges.

• Name of Scholarship: SHRM Space Coast Scholarship

• Type of Award: Scholarship (up to $1,000) 

• Year Scholarship was established: 2011

• Award Frequency: Annual

• Number of Students awarded annually: One or more per year from a student located in Brevard County, Florida

• Award should be distributed: Summer (prior to Fall Semester), the Board of Directors will finalize their decision at or before the August Board Meeting.

• Financial Award may be used for: Attending Human Resources Management Courses - for degree or continuing education, or Applied Project (Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral level project).

• Scholarship Application Period: April 1 to May 15 of each calendar year

Criteria For Selection of Scholarship Recipients

• Area of Study: Human Resources, Organizational Behavior Management, Management, Training & Development, other Human Resource related degree.

• Residency: Brevard County, Florida

• Enrollment Status: Part-time or Full-time student at an accredited university campus

• GPA: 3.0 or better

• Submission: 500 Word Essay describing Human Resources career goals and interests, how the scholarship award would be used, and chose one of the following:

1.       What impact would you like to make in the field of Human Resources?

2.       What impact would you like to make as an HR professional in your local community?

Additional Information: You will be asked to submit an official college transcript by email after your application is reviewed.
